Hi! I'm Akwi.
I create contemporary abstract art inspired by our human quest for harmony and belonging. I'm a Cameroonian-American artist selling original art and prints and I'm based in the United States.
New Terrain is a visual and emotional journey into landscapes—real and imagined—that invite us to consider where we feel we belong, and why.

I started off as a language arts teacher at my alma mater! I loved inspiring confidence & well-being in my classroom and now I inspire it through my art.
I'm a mom and a self-taught artist.
I have been creating for almost two decades through words (sometimes on the stage), film, poetry, and now paintings. I hope my art inspires you & brings you joy.
Through my art, I hope to help you discover and accept your whole, unique self--to live your own beautiful, complex, imperfect story with confidence and peace.
